Database

Having our high-performance servers installed on a main Internet backbone means that we can handle very large amounts of burst traffic and provide high-speed throughput for large blocks of data transfers. The data on our servers is automatically archived on a daily basis with the option of instant recovery which results in minimal downtime and high Quality of Service (QoS) levels. Our fault-tolerant high-capacity servers are also located in a secure data center that is protected against physical intrusion and network access exploits. It is also important to mention that in our operations we only use reliable modern network equipment that is free of harware issues and can easily handle the amount of traffic directed to them.

To inquire about our database hosting and warehousing services call us at (818) 909-6800 or send us an email or read on for additional information about the types of database servers that we have available.

MySQL

MySQL Hosting is our most popular database hosting service. Although limited in comparison to premium database servers in it's ability to run a large variety of built-in fuctions, the server software is free, high-performance, and comes with easy to use database management and data migration tools. The server is also widely supported and can be easily accessed from both ASP.NET and PHP applications with the use of the familiar SQL statements. Currently we're running MySQL Server 5.1 and it has proven to be very low maintenance and robust.

Microsoft SQL Server

We have dedicated SQL database servers for hosting the live databases used for web sites and applications, and for database warehousing. For clients with high volumes of traffic or large amounts of data (100GB+) we can also deploy dedicated database servers customized to specific needs. The server version that we currently use is Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Over the years it has proven to be a reliable and robust server that is ideal for .NET Web Applications. Management of the databases can be handled by us as a part of a contractual agreement or by the individual client with the use of  Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
